This is the latter - the one who converted from Judaism to Christianity. He later changed the spelling of his name to Levinson. <br><br>THE DATE: This book is not dated. We know of a third edition printed in 1891. This copy has an owner's date of 1888. Levinsohn felt a call to Christian ministry in the 1880s and in the later part of that decade went on a missionary trip after which he wrote a book describing the trip. We are therefore estimating the publishing date of this book to 1887. <BR><BR>THE BOOK: The book is 124 pages plus four pages of advertisements. Brown cloth covers with black decoration and text.
