The text is illustrated with two inserts of eight pages each of colour and black-and-white photography. Photographic paperback binding with white coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. The author was one of the very few Englishmen who actually served in the Vietnam war. He served as an officer in the 1st Cavalry Division during the years 1967/8. During the Tet Offensive he was captured by the Vietcong where he was interrogated and tortured. He escaped struggled to survive but finally found his way back to American lines. He returned to England where he apparently suffered no lasting problems from his time in Vietnam � he married became a father and had a successful business � but a trivial encounter with police lead to a catastrophic break where he lost his family business and home. It was then obvious that the psychological and emotional wounds from Vietnam were not over and he needed to confront the traumatic events to move on with his life. This is his story.
