‎La Risalat at-Tawhid (Trattato sull'unicità di Dio) è l'opera principale di Muhammad 'Abduh. Tawhid è la parola che indica l'unicità di Dio e costituisce il dogma principale dell'Islam: il suo significato si è poi esteso fino a indicare tutta la religione e più che un dogma va visto come una necessità della ragione. La Risalat è un trattato di teologia, per quanto nell'Islam sia possibile parlare di teologia. Di fatto i termini 'ilm al-tawhid o 'ilm al-kalam, che di solito si traducono appunto con "teologia", sono approssimazioni per indicare il fulcro dell'Islam, il fondamento primo e più profondo: l'unicità di Dio e della sua Rivelazione attraverso la Parola (kalam). Nella Risalat vi è una breve introduzione storica, che narra di come si siano sviluppate le diverse scuole e una parte finale che parla del ruolo storico dell'Islam. Ma l'argomento più rilevante è l'appello che Muhammad 'Abduh fa alla ragione. E grazie alla ragione che l'Islam si differenzia dalle religioni che l'hanno preceduta e che piuttosto hanno fatto appello ai sentimenti e all'immaginazione. Tirmizî, often referred to as Imam at-Termezi/Tirmidhi, was a Persian Islamic scholar and collector of hadith who wrote al-Jami` as-Sahih (known as Jami` at-Tirmidhi), one of the six canonical hadith compilations in Sunni Islam. He also wrote Shama'il Muhammadiyah (popularly known as Shama'il at-Tirmidhi), a compilation of hadiths concerning the person and character of the Islamic prophet, Muhammad. At-Tirmidhi was also well versed in Arabic grammar, favoring the school of Kufa over Basra due to the former's preservation of Arabic poetry as a primary source. Muhammad ibn `Isa at-Tirmidhi was born during the reign of the Abbasid caliph al-Ma'mun. He began the study of hadith at the age of 20. From the year 235 AH (849/850) he traveled widely in Khurasan, Iraq, and the Hijaz in order to collect hadit. At-Tirmidhi was a pupil of al-Bukhari, who was based in Khurasan. Adh-Dhahabi wrote, "His knowledge of hadith came from al-Bukhari."[16] At-Tirmidhi mentioned al-Bukhari's name 114 times in his Jami`. He used al-Bukhari's Kitab at-Tarikh as a source when mentioning discrepancies in the text of a hadith or its transmitters, and praised al-Bukhari as being the most knowledgeable person in Iraq or Khurasan in the science of discrepancies of hadith. When mentioning the rulings of jurists, he followed al-Bukhari's practice of not mentioning the name of Abu Hanifah. Because he never received a reliabe chain of narrators to mention Abu Hanifa's decrees, he would instead attribute them to "some people of Kufa." Al-Bukhari held at-Tirmidhi in high regard as well. He is reported to have told at-Tirmidhi, "I have profited more from you than you have from me," and in his Sahih he narrated two hadith from at-Tirmidhi. At-Tirmidhi also narrated some hadiths from Abu Dawud, and one from Muslim. Muslim also narrated one hadith from at-Tirmidhi in his own Sahih. A.J. Wensinck mentions Ahmad ibn Hanbal as among at-Tirmidhi's teachers. However, Hoosen states that according to the most reliable sources, at-Tirmidhi never went to Baghdad, nor did he attend any lectures of Ahmad ibn Hanbal. Furthermore, at-Tirmidhi never directly narrates from Ahmad ibn Hanbal in his Jami'. Several of at-Tirmidhi's teachers also taught al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah, and an-Nasa'i. ‎Very Good Turkish Original four huge gelatin silver prints mounted on signed cardboards by Muhittin, who was the chief of the Electric Company Committee in Bursa. Cardboard size: 34x30 cm; photograph size: 23,5x17,5 cm. Fine silver prints of the decorative elements of Selimiye Mosque (two photos), Üç Serefeli Mosque, and Bayezid II Mosque. The photos of Selimiye Mosque show interior decorations in the building, the door of Üç Serefeli Mosque, and a window sash of Bayezid II Mosque.  Üç Serefeli Mosque is a 15th-century Ottoman mosque, that was commissioned by Ottoman sultan Murad II and built between 1438-1447. It is located in the historical center of the city, close to the Selimiye Mosque and Old Mosque. The name refers to an unusual minaret with three balconies. The architect of the mosque is not known. The two blue and turquoise underglaze-painted tile panels in the tympana of the windows were probably produced by the same group of tilemakers who had decorated the Yesil Mosque (1419-21) in Bursa where the tiles are signed as "the work of the masters of Tabriz" ('amal-i ustadan-i Tabriz).  The Complex of Sultan Bayezid II is a külliye located in Edirne, built-in 1488 by the Ottoman architect Mimar Hayruddin for Sultan Bayezid II (reigned 1481-1512). And Selimiye Mosque is an Ottoman imperial mosque, The mosque was commissioned by Sultan Selim II, and was built by the imperial architect Mimar Sinan between 1568 and 1575. The mosque's courtyard forms a dramatic approach that helps to frame the view of the main dome from outside. The central outer gate on the northwest side of the courtyard is unusually simple, as the customary muqarnas canopy is replaced by a simple round arch. Inside, the courtyard is surrounded by four porticos of arches and domes. The southeastern portico, immediately preceding the entrance to the prayer hall, is significantly taller than the other three porticos in order to match the great height of the mosque itself. This portico is composed of three wide arches with two very small arches between them, a configuration vaguely resembling a triumphal arch and very different from the earlier monumental portico designed by Sinan for the Süleymaniye Mosque. The façades above these arches are decorated with two marble circles inscribed with quotes from the Qur'an. The large lower windows around the courtyard are surmounted by decorative lunettes, except for the two windows on either side of the entrance portal, which are set below muqarnas niches instead. The lunettes of the windows on the prayer hall side are filled with Iznik tiles painted with calligraphy. The photographs in this small collection were taken by the chief of the Electric Company Committee in Bursa city, probably for an architectural project. ‎
