All'interno: gli egiziani (geografia, Valle del Nilo, storia, cultura), i semiti (antico Impero babilonese, cultura, industria e commercio, fenici, Assiri) Indiani, Battriani medi e persiani, Greci, Macedoni, romani ecc... In discrete condizioni. Copertina editoriale in mediocri condizioni generali con usure ai margini e dorso. Piatto posteriore staccato e segni di nastro adesivo. Legatura in discrete condizioni con rotture. All'interno le pagine si presentano in ottime condizioni con fioriture. Interesting work of 1856 about the history of ancient people written by Giuseppe de Leva. Even if in the cover there is the indication "vol. I", the work is in one volume and it is complete. Inside: egyptians (geography, Nile Valley, history, culture), jewish (Ancient Babilonian Empire, culture, industry and trade, phoenix, Assiri) Indians, Battriani medians and persians, Greeks, Macedoni, romans ecc... In fair conditions. Editorial cover in poor general conditions with wearings in the edges and spine. Back plate is detached and signs of adhesive tape. Binding in fair conditions with cracks. Inside pages are in very good conditions with foxings.

Si tratta di un resoconto di un suo viaggio compiuto tra il 1850 e 51 che unisce alcuni saggi politici e letterarie con pagine inedite su questa affascinante regione dell'Africa. All'inizio un ode di Giosuè Carducci (1835-1907). Note manoscritte. Timbro annullato al frontespizio. Brossura editoriale in cattive condizioni generali con usure ai margini; dorso quasi assente; piatto anteriore assente. Legatura quasi assente ma nessuna pagina mancante. All'interno le pagine si presentano in ottime condizioni con rare fioriture. Lieve gore d'umidità al margine destro delle pagine da 465 a 468. Scarce first edition of this important work by Giuseppe Regaldi (1809-1883), a poet that travelled a lot along all Europe and Egypt. It is a resuming of the voyage he made between 1850 and 1851 that melts some litterature and political essays with some inedit pages about this charming area of Africa. Inside an ode by Giosuè Carducci (1835-1907). Manuscripted notes. Erased stamp in the title page. Editorial cover in bad general conditions slightly worn in the edges spine almost missing; front plate is missing. Binding almost missing but no page is missing. Inside pages are in very good conditions with occasional foxings. Slight humidity stain in the right edge of pages from 465 until 468.

AEB 3335. ~[Librarium of The Hague offers the largest and finest collection of Egyptological offprint monographs in the rare book market. With the acquisition in recent years of multiple Egyptological libraries (those of Prof. Herman te Velde; Prof. Mathieu Heerma van Voss, Prof. Baudouin van de Walle; Prof. Michel Malaise; Prof. Herman De Meulenaere; Egyptologist Jacobus Visser, and former Trustee of the Egypt Exploration Society, Stewart Dale White), we now hold several thousands of rare offprint monographs which were collected over many years by these scholars. Very limited in number when originally issued and fragile by nature, most are by now practically extinct and the scarce survivors are much sought after. We took upon ourselves to collate, catalogue, and identify each item in accordance with Beinlich-Seeber or Annual Egyptological Bibliography, in the hope that this collection will prove useful for scholars and collectors alike.
