New York.: Arbuckle Bros. Coffee Co. 1893. Trade card 3 x 5 inches chromolithographic vignette illustrations on one side text on verso. Light soiling on text side 1/2 inch tear to lower left margin. This is one of a series of premium cards issued in the late 1800s by Arbuckle Coffee Company this being from the series of 50 cards with vignette illustrations "giving a pictorial History of the Sports and Pastimes of all Nations." This card features the country of Algeria. The vignette illustrations depict a lion hunting scene women painting and a group of women being rowed in a boat. As they had when they were first issued for advertising purposes these attractively colored cards have exceptional popular appeal and make a great keepsake of a favorite place. . Arbuckle Bros.
