The Firebird
Nicola Marter was born with a gift so rare and dangerous, she kept it buried deep. Kelley Kevin W. Conceived and edited by Cousteau Jaques Yves Foreword by
The Home Planet
Reading MA: Addison-Wesley Publishing Co. Fine in Near Fine dust jacket. 1988. Unknown. Hardcover. Written for the Association of Space Explorers and co-published with the Soviet agency Mir. The Home Planet conveys the grandeur of Earth and the mysteries of space through 150 stunning photographs - many never before published - selected from the entire Soviet and American archives. The accompanying narrative poetic deeply personal often funny often spiritual is woven from interviews and articles and air-to-ground transmissions and loosely follows the chronology of a space mission. Together images and text portray as no previous book has the bond between Earth and its inhabitants and the connectedness among the many people who share this planet. Beautiful full-color photographs and a list of astronauts and their missions. The words provided by each astronaut are published in their native language and also in English. Unpaginated the photographs are instead numbered. The binding is black cloth with gray lettering. The jacket has light wear to the top right corner. Heavy and oversized additional postage may be required. ; Folio - over 12 - 15" tall . Addison-Wesley Publishing Co. hardcover
