Kushnerev i ko), titolo oro al piatto in caratteri cirillici, con 1 tavola di frontespizio e 101 (su 119) tavole fotografiche, dedicate all’immortale scrittore russo Lev Nikolaevic Tolstoj (1828-1910). Sono foto, scattate dalla moglie Sofia, che ci offrono bellissime immagini dello scrittore (a cavallo, a piedi, seduto, in interni ed esterni), con i suoi familiari, gli amici (fra cui Gorky e Cechov), e anche interni e vedute della tenuta di famiglia “Yasnaya Polyana” e dintorni, oltre a numerosi autoritratti di coppia. Il dettagliato elenco di questa raccolta di fotografie è pubblicato sul sito “Stanford Libraries” dell’Università americana. L’album e le foto sono state realizzate dall’atelier moscovita Sherer & Nabgoltz: si tratta di un’edizione a scopo benefico del 1911, fatta per aiutare le fattorie colpite da uno spaventoso incendio divampato attorno alla residenza dello scrittore. Al verso di 4 foto sono stati disegnati dei volti a matita e su altre 2 degli scarabocchi a colori. Anche se le tavole portano tracce d’uso ai margini, tutta la raccolta è in buono stato.
