Scunthorpe: W H and C H Caldicott 1931. Excellent book on the history of this area 247 pages in overall bright clean condition just a brown stain to top blank margins of a few pages on five pages it is 4 inches wide by ¾ inch at its deepest point on each side of these 5 pages the stain rapidly shrinks and within 3 pages each side has disappeared the stain is not too unsightly one folded page with stain has come loose from the binding but is not torn. Also on one of the pages is a very light brown mark where a bookmark has lain endpapers are browned and name Stanley Jackson neatly written on inside front board dated 1933 there are some newspaper cuttings loosly laid in describing this persons death at age 23 from a heart attack while out cycling. Many B/w illustrations plus very informative text outer covers are attractive with gold lettering which is very lightly dulled on front and very dulled on spine which is a little darkened a few very light marks to boards.Though not perfect a pleasing copy of an interesting book on the area SEE IMAGE.
