Kayseri with its Armenian and Greek cultural heritage.= Ermeni ve Rum kültür varliklariyla Kayseri. Introduction by Zeynep Oguz.
New English Paperback. Pbo. 4to. (31 x 24 cm). In English and Turkish. 261 p., color and b/ ills. Kayseri with its Armenian and Greek cultural heritage.= Ermeni ve Rum kültür varliklariyla Kayseri. Introduction by Zeynep Oguz. The book traces the buildings that have been left behind by the Armenian and Greek communities of Kayseri through statistical information and visual sources, and, as such, presents a glimpse into the region's sociocultural past. The 'photograph' of this cultural heritage as it exists in 2015 attests to how Kayseri that we know today is a product of historical complexity, and cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity. At the end of 19th century, non-Muslims constituted one-third of the population of the Kayseri Province, and a significant number of their buildings have unexpectedly withstood to this day despite destruction that they were exposed to. However, this buildings are deteriorating at an alarming pace. The cultural heritage of the peoples who have been forcefully expelled from their homelands should not be neglected, but should instead be protected like other cultural heritage and provided with the conditions necessary for its survival. These are crucially important for the processes of facing the past. This work in your hands was prepared with the hope that it may contribute to efforts in this direction.

Armenian architects of Istanbul in the Era of Westernization.= Batililasan Istanbul'un Ermeni mimarlari.
New English Paperback. 4to. (31 x 24 cm). In English and Turkish. 168 p., color and b/w ills. Armenian architects of Istanbul in the Era of Westernization.= Batililasan Istanbul'un Ermeni mimarlari. In the era of Westernization, also known as Ottoman Modernization, that took place throughout the entire 19th century and in the early 20th century, transformed the physical appearance of Istanbul. First and foremost the Balians, but also other Armenian architects such as Ohannes Serverian, Mgrdich Charkian, Bedros Nemtze, Mihran Azarian, Hovsep Aznavur, Levon Gureghian, the brothers Aram and Isaac Karakash, Kegham Kavafian, Yetvart Terziyan, Andon and Garabed Tulbendjian, who in earlier periods received their initial training within the industry, but later also graduated from schools in European countries, and ultimately graduated from the School of Fine Arts, played a great role in this transformation. This book is prepared to introduce the Armenian architects who contributed to Istanbul's architectural richness with their works and is the first attempt of its kind. We hope that it will inspire the academic studies in the field to be carried out in the future. The books published in Turkish-English and Armenian-English includes 6 articles written by Edhem Eldem, Afife Batur, Ahmet Ersoy, Alyson Wharton, Elmon Hançer and Lora Baytar; each article has a different approach to the architecture of Istanbul. Moreover, in the book there are more than 100 photos of the architectural structures built by the Armenian architects.

Sivas with its Armenian cultural heritage.= Ermeni kültür varliklariyla Sivas.
New English Paperback. Pbo. 4to. (31 x 24 cm). In English and Turkish. 163 p., ills. Sivas with its Armenian cultural heritage.= Ermeni kültür varliklariyla Sivas. In tracing the roots of the Armenian community, this book reveals the multicultural heritage of Sivas. Located in the heart Anatolia, Sivas extends over a vast geography with subregions that are different yet complete each other and can only be fully understood in the context of multicultural heritage. The content of this book is comprised of the results of research conducted about Sivas by the Hrant Dink Foundation. We hope that the information presented here interests not only researchers and history enthusiasts, but anyone who wants to learn more about Sivas. Sivas is a land that reaches to the Black Sea in the north, as far as Aleppo to the south, the Euphrates in the east and Cappadocia to the west. The vast geography creates particularities in the regions, and to each of these we have tried to give attention. In order to understand Sivas, one needs to go from Susehri to Gürün, from Ulas to Sarkisla, to consider Hafik and Zara separately; the towns of these dispersed regions, Çepni of Gemerek and Mancilik of Kangal should be taken as distinct places, and each of the villages of Divrigi should be studied thoroughly by themselves. In presenting our findings, we also mention the challenges we had and the impressions we gained during the research process of the cultural heritage that is faced by the threat of being forgotten. By this we aim to contribute to the methodological discussions used in researching similar topics.

New English Paperback. Pbo. Large 8vo. (24 x 23,5 cm). In English and Turkish. Color and b/w ills. 72 p. "A hundred years ago, there were some 1,000 villages with a population consisting of Armenians wholly or greatly within the borders of modern Turkey. Today you can talk about only one: the village of Vakifli in the Samandagh district of the province of Hatay. Though the motive of this book was the desire to shed light on the history of Vakifli, the result is a work not limited to it. In the book while brief information about the history of Armenians of Alexandretta, Antioch and Mousa Dagh are given, some forgotten details are pointed out. The fact that Armenians had continued their presence in these lands far from their historical homelands almost unbroken for over two thousand years will surprise the reader. The detailed information and extremely rich visual materials given in the book will make it possible to imagine the state of Antioch and Alexandretta ninety or a hundred years ago.".
