It was originally the riding-house of Carlton House, where the original documents are kept of the surrender of the several monasteries and religions bouses in England to King Henry VIII. The Records here, in point of bulk, but not numerically, were about two-thirds of the Public Records of the kingdom. Slight age stain. Folio. 303mm. Original blue printed wraps.
