In questo volume è stata raccolta una documentazione fotografica di circa 140 scatti a colori che raccontano la vita nelle le strade di Roma nei primi tre anni di permanenza dell'autore in città. Sono immagini di vita urbana quotidiana incastonati nella cornice di una città meravigliosa. Scorrendo il volume ci si imbatterà, partendo dal 2016, in immagini che giornalmente si materializzano nella capitale dove la grande quantità di marmi, di cupole, unite ai colori caratteristici come l'ocra, l'arancione, il grigio del travertino si combinano per creare scenari amati in tutto il mondo. Ad esempio si potranno ammirare le persone che si affollano sulla terrazza del Pincio, i ragazzi che giocano lanciandosi palle di neve nel piazzale del Colosseo, le passeggiate sotto la pioggia tra gli antichi fori, la calca per il natale a via dei Condotti... I primi quattro capitoli sono dedicati alle fotografie di strada, uno per ciascun anno, mentre l'ultimo è dedicato alle fotografie classiche, foto più tecniche che si potrebbero definire da cartolina come l'alba sui Fori Imperiali, il tramonto su San Pietro o piazza di Spagna alle prime luci del mattino completamente deserta.

The plays were performed in Southern California predominantly at The Court Theatre Falcon Theatre Theatre West The Raven Playhouse and Melrose Theatre. The archive includes posters from 10 productions including "Fahrenheit 451" "The October Country" "Past Present & Future" "The Time of Going Away" and "Drunk and In Charge of a Bicycle." and his Irish play "Falling Upward!" "Falling Upward!" was one of Bradbury's favorite plays and especially as he advanced in age he was know to encourage its frequent production simply for the joy of being able to see it again. Bradbury was an avid playwright and a familiar and enthusiastic presence in the Southern California theatre circuit near his home. In 1963 he and director Charles Rome Smith founded Pandemonium Theatre Company. The two friends would go on to work with the company together for the next four decades until Rome's death in 2004. This archive is a solid representation of the company's latter half before Smith's passing and Bradbury's hearing loss which would necessitate that he stop attending performances. Non dunque una storia della fase repubblicana dell'antica Roma, ma una analisi dei profili caratterizzanti il periodo e dei nodi concettuali, anche nel rapporto con il moderno, che il loro studio implica: dalla periodizzazione alla mentalità, dalla politica alla società, dalla postura imperialista alla varia eredità del modello repubblicano e dei suoi valori nel tempo.

Segnaliamo alcune carte bianche, non appartenenti all'edizione riempite di fitte, antiche, note manoscritte, legate prima del frontespizio e numerose note e correzioni - sempre antiche - sui margini bianchi e nel testo.
