New York: Forge 2000. First edition Hardcover Fine in Fine dust jacket. David Bowers. New York: Forge: 2000. First edition Hardcover Fine in Fine dust jacket 349 pp. Cover artwork by: David Bowers A werewolf novel. Don't write this one off - it looks different. It's the story of Edgar Lenoir Duke of Darnley. The scene is Victorian London. Lenoir is an aristocrat gentleman and werewolf. He's fascinated by his condition rather than horrified by it. Three gentlemen and one woman share in the telling of this tale the focus being on Lenoir's journal. Written in the style of the times it portrays this one seems to me to be a solid choice for winter reading. Call it literary horror. Forge hardcover
