The new and thriving force of volunteers were raised into an Anti-Aircraft Brigade and Infantry Brigade group totalling more than 6000 personnel by 1950. EXTREMELY SCARCE.‎

‎In 8, pp. XVII + 486 + (2). Firma di possesso all'occhietto. Dorso parzialmente rifatto. Bruniture e gore ai margini inf. delle cc. Corposo lavoro scritto da Giuseppe Ajazzi, bibliotecario della Rinucciana di Firenze, su Giovanni Battista Rinuccini, nato a Roma nel 1592, investito da Urbano VIII dell'arcivescovato di Fermo, il quale rifiuto'  il seggio arcivescovile di Firenze offertogli da Ferdinando II. Nel 1646 fu nominato da Innocenzo X nunzio apostolico in Irlanda con lo scopo di mediare fra i cattolici irlandesi e con il re, dopo che nel dicembre del 1641 il Parlamento inglese aveva votato la risoluzione di soppressione del culto cattolico in Irlanda. Rinuccini fece poi ritorno nel suo vescovato a Fermo dove mori' nel 1653.‎

Questo quarto volume e' scompleto, arriva infatti solo fino a p. 256 (mentre la numerazione completa delle pagine e' 586). La parte relativa all'Inghilterra si interrompe e manca la seconda sezione che era riservata a Scozia e Irlanda (seppure nel frontespizio il titolo reciti solamente Inghilterra, tomo quarto, a differenza di altri esemplari il cui frontespizio riporta anche anche la dicitura degli altri due paesi). Nel tomo sono pero' presenti 34 tavole incise all'acquaf. fra le quali due cartine della Scozia e dell'Irlanda con illustrazioni di monumenti e paesaggi proprio di questi due paesi. In particolare 26 tavole Scozia (numerate, seppure non in sequenza, da 1 a 26; 2 tavole Irlanda (numerate 1 e 4); 3 tavole isola di Sant'Elena (numerate 18, 19 e 20); una tavola isola Ascensione (numerata 17). Il V tomo contiene 169 tavole incise (su 174) all'acquaforte + 3 cartine incise (mancano le tavole 37, 38, 39, 40, 44). Edizione italiana nella collana 'L'universo o storia e descrizione di tutti i popoli' di questa serie di pubblicazioni con descrizioni dei vari paesi corredati da bell'apparato iconografico.‎
