Giving his address as 'Cary Tuttyt Charlotte Town Prince Edwards Island B. N. A.' With black rectangular stamp: 'RECEIVED IN 29 AUG. 1846 MILY. DEPARTMENT.' Docketted on reverse 'Does not appear to have enlisted 1839'. The letter asks for information 'Concerning my Brother George Tuttyt Who inlisted in Her Majesty Service about the year Eighteen Hundred & Thirty Nine In the horse Artillary East India Company enlisted in the County Tipperary Clonmel Iraland a boot & shoe maker by traid'.
