New York: The Macmillan Company 1935. SIGNED AND INSCRIBED BY AUTHOR on front endpage -"To Will Hays from his friend Ogden L. Mills". Ogden Mills served as United States Secretary of the Treasury in President Herbert Hoover's cabinet. After leaving the Treasury Department Mills was highly critical of Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal policies. Will Hays managed Warren G. Hardings successful campaign for the Presidency of the U.S. and was subsequently appointed Postmaster General. After a year in that position he resigned to become most famously known as the first President of Motion Picture Producers and Distributors of America MPPDA which under his guidance published a blacklist of actors and workers studios should not hire inserted moral clauses into actors' contracts and published an informal list of suggested guidelines for film producers. When the Catholic Church formed its Legion of Decency and threatened nationwide boycotts of movies Hays installed a more formal production code called the Hays Code later simply "The Code" which became the virtual law of Hollywood until the 1960s. A quite interesting Association Copy ! Book is Near Fine spine lettering a bit dulled in a Very Good dustjacket and SCARCE THUS a bit rubbed along the fore edge of the front panel and with 1/4" paper loss at head of spine. . According to the Isis fan website this book was so awful that most copies were immediately pulped after release although we do see a few copies floating around in unknown condition. "Hearts of Fire is a 1987 American musical drama film starring Bob Dylan Fiona Flanagan billed only as "Fiona" and Rupert Everett. The film was essentially a vehicle for Dylan based on his success as a rock musician. It received poor reviews a limited theatrical release and was later written off by Dylan himself" Wikipedia. Time Out London said that Dylan "hovers enigmatically on the sidelines offering jaundiced comments." Five in OCLC but none in the U.S. Hodder and Stoughton unknown

Sibley not included in the first edition of the same year and an expended list of members; 8vo 32pp. original tan printed front wrapper lacking back wrapper; a good copy of an early piece of Minnesota printing done by Minnesota's first printer and in only the second year of printing in the newly organized territory. Includes the original Act to Incorporate Constitution By-Laws list of members and the text of an address by Minnesota's first historian the Rev. Edward D. Neil concluding with the words "As the second edition of the Annals is going through the press the news is received that a party of Dakotas from Kaposia and Red Wing villages have made an attack on some unsuspecting Ojibwas and taken a boy as a captive and fourteen scalps. Upon their return they danced the scalp-dance in the streets of Stillwater. The captive being placed in the center of the ring formed by the dancers the reeking scalps of his relatives were occasionally shaken in his face."
