Draft of the pictorial jurney made by the Hijaz railway committee to Ma'an contains 95 photographs and descriptive text in Ottoman Turkish
29 x 20 cm 158 plates of text include 95 photographs by the Committee of which 42 photographs are on separate plates measured approx. 23 x 15 cm. The photography committee's travel from Istanbul to Ma'aan in Trans-Jordan. The text collected from the Vakit time newspaper as it was published without pictures through different issues in 1902. This work is a unique one prepared to be printed with photographs taken by the private committee which included important names like the German general Karl Auler Pasha who was a consultant of the Hejaz issues until the falling of Medina in 1918. hardcover

The Poughkeepsie & Eastern Railroad begins at the city of Poughkeepsie New York and makes good connections with trains and steamers touching at Poughkeepsie. From Poughkeepsie the road runs in a northeasterly direction diagonally across Duchess County traversing nearly its whole length with its northern terminus being Boston Corners. This village is situated at the extreme northern limit of the county and almost at the spot where the three states New York Massachusetts and Connecticut join. Some scenes and villages along the route are Pleasant Valley Bowers Lake Salt Point Clinton Corners Upton Lake Park Willow Brook Stanfordville Stissing Pine Plains and Acram Lead mines. Also included is information on fishing and a list of the hotels boarding houses and farm houses that are available to take summer boarders. The location name of the owner number of guests that can be accomodated and the rates for both adults and children.
