Il lettore non vi troverà solo la narrazione dei fatti e degli uomini che fecero la Regia Aeronautica di quegli anni, ma anche le macchine che armarono i reparti di volo. In particolare si cercherà di trattare, oltre ai velivoli più noti, anche quelli che non godono di una vasta fama presso il pubblico. Chi si appresta alla lettura non si aspetti un trattato di storia militare o aeronautica. Il lettore non vi troverà lunghe e noiose elencazioni di reparti, macchine, uomini e teatri operativi. DESCRIZIONE: Ermanno Albertelli Editore Parma 1998 br. ed. ca. t.t. con sovracc. ill. con risvolti pp. 172 con numerose f. in b/n n.t. in 8°. Adolf F GALLAND ( Westerholt 1912 - Remagen 1996) , è stato un aviatore tedesco , gli vennero accreditate 104 vittorie aeree conseguite sul fronte occidentale, con i reparti JG 27 e JG 26. Venne nominato generale della Luftwaffe , grado che mantenne dal Dicembre del 1941 al Dicembre del 1944. Galland divenne celebre durante la seconda guerra mondiale, che lo consacrò come uno dei maggiori assi dell’aviazione di sempre. In seguito ad alcuni contrasti con Hermann Goering, venne rimosso dagli incarichi operativi e fu ostracizzato dai maggiori gerarchi nazisti. La sua posizione cambiò nella primavera del 1945, allorchè Galland divenne comandante della prima squadriglia della storia equipaggiata con aerei a reazione ( Messerschmitt Me 262). Membro della Luftwaffe dal 1933, completò il proprio addestramento in Italia e durante la guerra civile spagnola fu capitano nella squadra aerea della Legione Condor, fu l’ultimo dei 27 decorati con la massima onorificienza al valore, la Croce di di Cavaliere con Fronde di quercia, spade e diamanti, concesse dallo stato nazista durante la seconda guerra mondiale.
