Il volume è diviso in cinque parti : nella prima Roald Amundsen racconta il volo verso il Polo Artico dei due idroplani "N24" e "N25" ed i preparativi della spedizione, Hjalmar Riiser-Larsen parla, nella seguente, del "Compito del Comandante di seconda", il pilota Leif Dietrichson fa una "Relazione sul N24, la quarta parte è dovuta al giornalista Fredrik Ramm che seguì la missione da terra ed ultima infine la parte tecnica curata dal metereologo Jacob Bjerknes. Timbro "Omaggio dell'Editore" al frontespizio. Alcune leggere ossidazioni su poche pagine peraltro volume in ottimo stato.
