Tâcî-zâde Ca'fer Çelebi (856? / 1452 - 921 / 1515) was a prominent figure in the polittical life of Ottoman society in the late 15th and early 16th centuries, who both as a member of the Council of State and as a personality of distinction in the literary activities of the period was able to influence future developments in these spheres. However, apart from a few articles in qorks of an encyclopaedic nature, most of which have remained unpublished. What judgements have been expressed on his position in Ottoman poetical literature have, consequently, been based on only the most superficial acquaintance with his writings and have little validity. The present thesis collects all the existing information on his life and his career, and presents for the first time a reliable biography, seeking as well, by a study of all his works, to establish his his position in the literary environment of the age. In the second part there is given in transcription a critical edition of his Divân, for which all the existing manuscripts of the work have been used. The aim here has been to achieve a correct text which may be used with confidence by the students of this period of Ottoman literature.

Over the centuries, the Enderun School was fairly successful in creating Ottoman statesmen by drawing among the empire's various ethnic groups and giving them a common Muslim education. The school was run by the "Inner Service" (Enderûn) of the Ottoman palace and had both academic and military purposes. The graduates were expected to devote themselves to government service and be free of links to lower social groups. Letter mentioned also Semseddin [Günaltay], [Mehmed] Fuad [Köprülü]. Written: "Muhterem efendim; Zat-i âlîniz hakkinda Fuad Bey ile görüstüm. Arap tarih [ve] edebiyati dersine muamele gördügünüzü söyledi. Artik aramizda 'Hal-i hazirda Islam mezhebleri' dersine namzedliginizi kararlastirdik. Semseddin Bey'e söyledim. Letter includes notification of giving lessons of 'Islamic Sects Today' to Yusuf Ziya Yörükan in the Darülfünûn (Istanbul University). Dated 21st May 1926. Ismail Hakki who worked in various schools of Istanbul as teacher, professor and director, also he worked in the Council-Inspectorate of Inspection and Reconciliation of the Ministry of Education (1896). In the meantime, Maarif Nâziri (Minister of Education) Zühdü Pasha brought him to be his private tutor. He gave lectures on Arabic, aqâid-i Islamiyya and usûl-i fiqh at the Civil Engineering School. Later on, he became a lecturer on history in the Dârülmuallimîn-i Âliye (1907-1908) and served as the director of Dârüssafaka and then as Dârülmuallimîn-i Âliye director (1908-1909). In the meantime, he participated the educational system within the framework of the reform programs established in the Cemiyet-i Tedrîsiyye-i Islamiyya. In 1909, he moved to Kadikoy and continued his life here after a short period in Ankara. Yusuf Ziya Yörükan has served as the clerk of the Theology Faculty between 1924-1926. He was appointed on 08 August 1926 in the Faculty of Theology of Darülfünûn.

Translated by Ismail Hemeti b. Osman. Ismail Hâmeti is one of the teachers of Beirut Idadî School. First Edition is published in 1898 in Beyrut. The Ministry of Education of the period made some changes in the program regarding the method of teaching Arabic translation and speaking. Additionally, he wanted the change to include the program of the sixth and seventh classes of "Idadîs". In accordance with this change made by the Ministry of Education, this book was started immediately since there were no books to be taught in Arabic teaching, and it was also published after the education by the Ministry of Education, with its 422 numbered permission on August 11, 1914. The method followed in the book is in accordance with the change made by the Ministry of Education in the program. The author states that on the cover of his book he prepared his work based on the "Monsieur Ahn" [i.e. Jean Françoise Ahn] procedure. This statement shows that the authors investigate the methods that arise about language teaching and closely follow the methods which are followed in the teaching of Western languages in order to prepare books suitable for these methods. Because the author adapted the rules of the method put forward by a Western linguist to the teaching of the Arabic language and tried to prepare his book. The topics in the work are covered at a level that the reader can understand easily. The first part of the book begins with exercises on translations from Arabic to Turkish and from Turkish to Arabic. Arabic words and Turkish meanings are given across each word. As the topics progress, both the number of sample sentences and level increases gradually. In the second chapter, grammar topics are handled in the same way under the title of "Kavâid-i Esasiye". In the third part, 45 prepositions are listed first with the title "edevât". he meanings of the prepositions are given, and then each is given as an example.
