Its name is listed third after the masterpieces The Perfumed Garden and Kama Sutra that you have heard about or read, whereas it is more frank and realistic. The realites of Mehmed Gazali, who screamed all about a world of uninhibited sex have only been imagined in the 20 century. The book delves into the love between Adam and Eve, the roots of homosexuality, the warfront between the pederasts and womanizers, bestiality, voyeurism from pimps to horny women, horny transexuals with men. in short, everything you wanten to know about sex but were afraid to ask. sorry, the explicit sexual adventures of those who experienced a myriad ways to get off. ‎Hilye-i Hakanî.‎

‎Very Good Turkish, Ottoman (1500-1928) Modern cloth bdg. Cr. 8vo. (19 x 13i5 cm). In Ottoman script. 45 p. Tear in last page. Partly uncut and untrimmed. Hilye-i Hakanî. AH: 1307 = AD: 1890. The term hilya denotes both a visual form in Ottoman art and a religious genre of Ottoman Turkish literature, each dealing with the physical description of Muhammad. Hilya literally means "ornament". They originate with the discipline of shama'il, the study of Muhammad's appearance and character, based on hadith accounts, most notably Tirmidhi's al-Shama'il al-Muhamadiyyah wa al-Khasa'il al-Mustafawiyyah ("The Sublime Characteristics of Muhammad"). In Ottoman-era folk Islam, there was a belief that reading and possessing Muhammad's description protects the person from trouble in this world and the next, it became customary to carry such descriptions, rendered in fine calligraphy and illuminated, as amulets. In 17th-century Ottoman Turkey, hilyes developed into an art form with a standard layout, often framed and used as a wall decoration. Later hilyes were also written for the first four Caliphs, the companions of Muhammad, Muhammad's grandchildren (Hasan and Hussein) and Islamic saints (walis). Mehmed Hakani Beg's 'Hilye' is one of the first example of the 'hilye' literature in the Turkish / Ottoman world. Özege 7631.; Not in TBTK (It has earlier and later editions).‎

‎Autograph letter signed 'Mehmed Mesih'.‎

‎Very Good Turkish, Ottoman (1500-1928) Original autograph letter signed by Mehmed Mesih Akyigit. 23x14,5 cm. In Ottoman script. Includes twelve lines. 1 p. Sent to an unnamed lady. Mehmed Mesih was an Ottoman / Turkish poet, the founder of 'Millî Mecmua! [i.e. National Journal]. Millî Mecmua was started to be published by Mehmed Mesih (Akyigit) in Istanbul (1 Tesrînisâni 1339/1 November 1923) immediately after the declaration of the Republic. The journal, which takes the republic and modernization as its principle, coincided with a period in which important reforms were carried out, and parallel to the developments experienced, its attitude has reached a point where reforms are defended separately from a general-framed adoption. They supported the Letter Revolution, except for Mehmed Fuad's article, which drew attention to the negative consequences of the Letter Revolution in 1928. The magazine conducted a survey on "Islam in the Face of the Turkish Revolution", and Ismail Hakki (Baltacioglu), in his response to this questionnaire, suggested a reform in religion and made some proposals such as reading the call to prayer (Ezân) in Turkish and raising the places of prostration in mosques. The editorials of the journal were originally written by Yahya Saim and Hasan Âli (Yücel), and then regularly by Mehmed Mesih. In the magazine, there are some articles such as "Translation Period" by Hüseyin Namik, who deals with the translation issue, as well as translations of the works of writers and poets such as Anatole France and Nietzche.‎

In Ottoman script. 31 p. Roumi: 1333 = Gregorian: 1917. Some of the books of the embassy are only about how they fulfill their embassy duties. The "Iranian Book of Embassy" 1807 by Sayyid Mehmet Refi 'Efendi is an example of this. The embassy of Mehmed Refi 'Efendi d.1224 was sent as an ambassador to Iran by the Ottoman Empire in 1222/1807 is the work of the tradition of writing an embassy book which emerged as a result of new style diplomatic relations. This Iranian embassy book provides information about the Ottoman-Iranian political relations as well as the diplomatic tradition of both countries the political history of Europe and many other areas. Napoleon who was also fighting against Russia in Europe evaluated this situation as a suitable opportunity and at his request by Bab-i Ali i.e. The Sublime Port Seyyid Mehmed Refi Efendi decided to send him to Iran as an ambassador. The duty of Refi Efendi who was sent to Iran by the Ottoman State was to bring an "alliance to Russia" between the Ottoman Empire and Iran and France. According to the information he gave in his book Refi Efendi set out from Dersaadet to Iran on May 23 1807. ‎Istanbul: Manuscript - Autograph letter / Letterhead 'Sura-yi Devlet'. H.: 1319 1903. Soft cover. Very Good. 4to - over 9 - 12" tall. Original manuscript autograph document signed by Mehmed Said Pasha sent to Trabzon Vilayat Ordu Kaza Hasbamane Nahiya local manager faziletlu 'Mehmed Ali Sevki Beyefendi'. 335x20 cm. Folded. 1 p. In Ottoman script. Mehmed Said Pasha was an Ottoman monarchist senator statesman and editor of the Turkish newspaper Jerid-i-Havadis. He supported the CUP the political party which came to power after the Ottoman coup d'tat of 1913. His origin comes from 'Sebazde family' from Ankara. He became first secretary to Sultan Abdul Hamid II shortly after the Sultan's accession and is said to have contributed to the realizations of his majesty's design of concentrating power in his own hands; later he became successively minister of the interior and then governor of Bursa reaching the high post of grand vizier in 1879. He was grand vizier seven more times under Abdul Hamid II and once under his successor Mehmed V. He was known for his opposition to the extension of foreign influence in Turkey. n 1896 he took refuge at the British embassy in Constantinople and though then assured of his personal liberty and safety remained practically a prisoner in his own house. He came into temporary prominence again during the revolution of 1908. On 22 July he succeeded Mehmed Ferid Pasha as grand vizier but on the 6 August was replaced by the more liberal Kmil Pasha at the insistence of the Young Turks. Also during 1908 Mehmed Said Pasha bought the famed Istanbul arcade in the Beyoglu Pera district today known as iek Pasaji "Flower Passage". The modern name became common in the 1940s; during Mehmed Said Pasha's ownership in the 1900s and 1910s the arcade was known as Sait Pasa Pasaji "Said Pasha Passage". During the Italian crisis in 1911-12 he was again called to the premiership. He was again removed from power by the Savior Officers who backed the Freedom and Accord Party Liberal Union against the Committee of Union and Progress and replaced by a new cabinet supported by the Officers and the Freedom and Accord Party. The CUP would return to power however the next year after the Ottoman coup d'tat of 1913. Source: Wikipedia. Seven lines on special paper with watermark 'Joynson Superfine'. He describes their family journeys from Çankiri to Tosya in a very bright style which was a day and night and eventful journey. They crossed Devrez Baglari by a horse carriage. He gave some examples from Tosya (Kastamonu) local dialect like 'Kadinine' to 'Nine' [i.e. Grandmother]. He cited in very detail that his father's hajj and Hejaz journey with his grandfather. ‎MEHMED ZIHNI EFENDI, (1845-1913).‎

‎Mesâhirü'n-nisâ. Vol. 1.‎

‎Very Good Turkish, Ottoman (1500-1928) Contemporary 1/4 black leather bdg. Demy 8vo. (22 x 14 cm). In Ottoman script. 371 p. Mesâhirü'n-nisâ. Vol. 1. Biographies of women from Islamic and Turkish world. "Mesahiru'n Nisa" Mehmed Zihni Efendi's is one of the most important works in the tradition of Islamic historiography. Within this tradition, a partial examination has been carried out on books written on social classes to determine on how much emphasis has been given on the "type and number" of women. The most important difference that separates "Mesahiru'n-Nisa" from previous traditional books on social classes is the reason it was written. The author wrote his work at the request of "Maarif Nezareti" ( Ministry of Education) to be read to young girl students at "Darulmuallimat" at that time. Zihni Efendi portrayed a "model Muslim woman profile" in his study. Within this framework, the author tried to realize three aims: Women who have become noted in different artistic, social, scientific and occupational areas not because of their gender but because they provide as an example with what they have done to young girl students. On the other hand, the moral side of a woman was given importance and very many moral women introduced in their various aspects were given as an example of their eminent personalities. In particular, emphasis was given on being a "good wife" and a "good mother.". (Source: Sükriye Akgül: The Mesahiru'n-Nisa (Successful Women) Tradition in Islamic Historiography and the Examination of Mehmed Zihni Efendi's Work on Mesahiru'n Nisa). First Edition. Vol. 1 of 2.
