‎NYC: Jules Fisher & Paul Marantz Inc. et. al. 1988. Drawing. Very Good. Soft cover. In 1991 the Seattle Art Museum SAM built a new museum in downtown Seattle. The item here offered for sale is a bound set of the architectural plans/ drawings/ schema of the lighting for the new building. This items consists of 12 sheets 30 1/2" x 42 1/2". Your bookseller is certainly not an architect nor is he ordinarily a dealer in architectural books or ephemera therefore please forgive his lack of proper description. Page 1: Lighting Fixture Schedule along with list of Manufacturers. Pps 2-5: drawings/ diagrams/ descriptions of various series. Pps 6-12: Floor drawings one sheet each for 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th floors plus basement and mezzanine. It may be safe to assume that very few sets of these drawings exist. This represents desirable hard - to - come - by addition for the collector of SAM material as well as for architects who collect material related to important public buildings. This set is in very good to fine condition with no tears and only a small bit of wear or slight peeling at the fore edges opposite the binding. ‎Deuxième édition (édition originale en 1805). Thomas Douglas (1771-1820) cinquième comte de Selkirk, séjourna dans les Highlands où il découvre le sort des fermiers sans terre. Il envisagea dès lors deux projets de colonisation à Sault Ste. Marie (Ontario), l'autre à l'Île-du-Prince-Édouard. Le projet ontarien ne vit pas le jour mais en 1803, des navires transportèrent des immigrants écossais à l'Île-du-Prince-Édouard. Malgré la critique du ministère des Colonies de la Grande-Bretagne et de la Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland, son livre connut un vif succès et fit de Selkirk une célébrité.Voyageant en Amérique du Nord, entre Halifax, Boston, Montréal et Toronto, Douglas revint en 1808 sur une proposition qu'il avait faite six ans auparavant visant à établir une colonie à la rivière Rouge. Suite aux problèmes financiers de la Compagnie de la Baie d'Hudson qui était propriétaire du territoire, Selkirk signa en 1811 un accord qui stipulait qu'en échange de l'établissement d'une colonie la compagnie vendait à Selkirk 116 000 milles carrés de terres pour 10 shillings.Ex-libris manuscrit à l'encre du temps « T. ‎Grande carte marine figurant les archipels de la Nouvelle-Calédonie, des Nouvelles-Hébrides, aujourd'hui renommées Vanuatu, et des îles Loyauté, rattachées à la Nouvelle-Calédonie en 1864. C'est cette même année que fut créé le bagne de Nouvelle-Calédonie, réparti sur les îles de Nou, en face de Nouméa, la presquîle de Ducos et l'Île des Pins. La carte a été dressée et publiée une première fois en 1888, puis rééditée en 1909. Les profondeurs marines sont exprimées en mètres. Le Service hydrographique de la Marine succéda au Dépôt des cartes et plans de la Marine en 1886. Déchirures et brunissure à la pliure centrale, manque dans la marge gauche, petites déchirures marginales.‎
