The dazzling Jazz Ball for the prestigious Woodburn School of Music promises to be event planner Madeline Bean's greatest triumph to date. Having to contend with a heap of celebrity trash a ranting vocal coach his rabid bitch of a girlfriend and duelling preteen music prodigies is bad enough. But when the furious bidding war for the prize item to be auctioned off -- a one-of-a-kind sterling silver Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone -- almost results in bloodshed and the perfect sax subsequently vanishes Madeline can't help but wonder what else could possibly go wrong. Well she could arrive home to discover a dead body in her bedroom. Her ex-beau LAPD Detective Chuck Honnett could start making insistent "take me back" noises. And then there's the red-haired stranger who seems to be stalking her. All in all the lethal looniness surrounding the theft of a priceless instrument is threatening to drive Mad quite mad. ‎FEHER (Joseph).‎

‎[HAWAII] The Dole map of the Hawaiian Islands.‎

‎Honolulu & San Francisco, Hawaiian Pineapple Company Limited, 1950.

‎Femling, Jean‎

‎GETTING MINE‎

‎NY: Saint Martin's Press 1991. 1st ed. Fine in dust jacket. The second Martha 'Moz' Brandt title. "California claims-investigator Moz Brant now wonders whether a reported traffic accident is really a scam: one passenger is conveniently missing; another uses a back-brace only when someone's watching; and two others including a doctor are clearly colluding in their lies. Then LaDonna Treece sans back-brace suspiciously OD's; Paulette the bookkeeper at her doctor's office suddenly disappears with several computer disks; and Moz is almost killed when a cowboy-hatted thug forces her off the road. What began as a simple accident claim then becomes a matter of murder--undertaken to protect an insurance rip-off partnership as well as to subsidize a porno-art collection." Kirkus. First Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Near Fine. Book. Saint Martin's Press Hardcover‎
