The Westminster Gazette 1922 "Startling revelations hidden until 1922. Important military secrets now disclosed." Maurice was a Major-General in the British Army who in 1918 wrote a letter to the Times accusing Lloyd George of falsifying the figures for the number of men on the Western Front and therefore misleading Parliament. This ended Maurice's military career as he knew it would and Lloyd George managed to fend off the charges. Maurice became a military journalist and pursued his allegations through the Westminster Gazette. This is a reprint in pamphlet form of his articles in the paper in fair to poor condition. Covers are very faded and the bottom half of the leading edge appears to have suffered some kind of scorching. The brown marks do not affect the text and the staple binding is still holding. A scarce survivor. Soft Cover. Fair. 8vo - over 7" - 9" tall. The Westminster Gazette paperback
