Marbled leather Hardcover. Ribbed spine with gilt lettering. Cover corners bumped. Front cover bottom part coming loose from spine (but still intact). Several small wormholes on cover. Spine worn. Wormholes on spine. Spine edges tattered and partly missing. Spine hinges worn, partly missing and partly cracked (but not detached from cover). Humidity stains on front endpaper and whitepage. Sticker residues on rear inner cover upper corner near spine. Ink inscription on front whitepage. Two small stamps on title page upper corner and edge. Worm-marks on both inner covers, few small wormholes on several extreme page edges - NO damage to text. Pages yellowing and slightly age-stained. All plates present and are in excellent condition. [SUMMARY]: This rare and beautifully illustrated book has unfortunately sustained some (mostly external) damage due to negligent care, but is still in good reading condition with clean plates.
