‎3 pp., plus 2 pp. de la main d'Henriette Lorimier et 1 p. d'Henriette Boulard.Correspondance familiale, en partie consacrée à la situation en Grèce. La première lettre concerne une demande en mariage effectuée par un capitaine qui souhaiterait épouser Cornélie, fille d'Antoine Boulard. Pouqueville estime qu'il faut "du temps pour se décider", compte tenu du jeune âge de sa nièce et des contraintes que cela supposerait pour elle. Puis il évoque les deux autres enfants d'Antoine, "Zaza" (Henriette Boulard) et "Hugues Bel" (Hugues Boulard), qui vont grandir et dont il faudra s'occuper. Dans la seconde lettre, Pouqueville donne des nouvelles de son frère Hugues, consul à Patras: "Avant hier j'ai reçu de ses nouvelles sous la date du 17 mai, il ne restait plus que quatre maisons dans la ville de Patras, qui comptait il y a deux mois plus de seize mille habitants. Plus de deux mille personnes doivent la vie à notre frère, qui depuis deux mois a vécu au milieu des flammes, du sang et du carnage, enfin il a sauvé le consulat de France. Ce pauvre Barrick et tous nos négociants sont ruinés […]. Je sais qu'il doit avoir maintenant près de lui la corvette du Roi la Flore, ainsi cela me tranquillise beaucoup. Du reste les choses étaient loin d'être finies, les insurgés s'organisaient, Patras était bloqué par terre et par mer, les vivres y étaient rares, on n'y mangeait que du biscuit, la farine s'y trouvait difficilement. Ce qui se passe de ce côté est incroyable, on tue les hommes comme des mouches et il serait difficile de dire qui des Turcs ou des Grecs seront vainqueurs, car on ne se fait aucun quartier de part ni d'autre, c'est une guerre d'extermination". Pouqueville demande à son correspondant de conserver les lettres de Hugues qu'il lui a fait parvenir, car elles lui serviront pour une seconde édition de son Voyage dans la Grèce. Il lui demande aussi de recevoir ses amis qui effectueront un voyage sur les bords de Loire, parmi lesquels Didot l'aîné‎

François Charles Hugues Laurent Pouqueville, (4 novembre 1770 - 20 dicembre 1838) fu un medico, diplomatico, viaggiatore e scrittore francese, membro dell' Istituto di Francia e membro della Commissione Scienza e Arti che accompagnò la spedizione di Bonaparte in Egitto. Catturato dai pirati, fu imprigionato a Costantinopoli, poi successivamente nominato Console Generale di Francia ad Ali Pacha de Janina da Napoleone I. Ha viaggiato molto per quindici anni in Grecia e nei Balcani durante il dominio turco e, attraverso le sue azioni diplomatiche e le sue opere, ha cox ntribuito attivamente alla ribellione greca e alla liberazione della Grecia. Questo volume fa parte di una collezione ambiziosa che ci consente di scoprire la storia, la geografia, i costumi e la descrizione di tutti i popoli del mondo.
