brossura "Imola mondiale" è un contributo per la conservazione della memoria del motocross italiano Golden Era. Imola è stata la prima città italiana a ospitare questa specialità nella sua forma più evoluta: il Campionato Mondiale. Fortemente voluta da Francesco Costa, il 23 maggio 1948 si svolse la prima gara internazionale nel Parco delle Acque Minerali. Giunsero in Italia per la prima volta i pionieri nordeuropei di questo spettacolare sport che seppe appassionare fin dall'inizio un pubblico molto vasto ed eterogeneo. Dal 1948 al 1965, il Parco di Imola divenne il teatro di una festa straordinaria e acquisì la fama di luogo magico sia sotto il profilo ambientale, sia sotto quello della spettacolarità. Le generazioni più anziane ricordano ancora oggi con entusiasmo nomi come Marcel Meunier, Auguste Mingels, Bill Nilsson, Sten Lundin e Rolf Tibblin. La loro statura, la loro audacia e la forza con la quale riuscivano a far volare motociclette roboanti di più di un quintale e mezzo, fecero di loro una sorta di eroi invincibili capaci di superare ogni umano limite.

La corsa fa parte della natura dell'uomo sin dai primordi dell'umanità: è dentro ciascuno di noi ma occorre riscoprirla dopo averla conosciuta da bambini, quando la interpretavamo con spontaneità e gioia. Il nuovo libro di Luca Dal Monte è il racconto di una collaborazione tra gli inglesi della Brabham e gli italiani dell'Alfa Romeo che, di fatto, non è mai nata, con gli uni sempre e comunque sospettosi degli altri. E se gli inglesi - leggi Bernie Ecclestone - erano almeno compatti, gli italiani erano divisi: l'Alfa Romeo era all'epoca lacerata da correnti e fazioni in una guerra senza esclusione di colpi. Eppure, sul fronte italiano, quattro personaggi riuscirono a dar vita a un'alleanza che in un primo momento rese possibile il ritorno dell'Alfa Romeo alle corse con la fornitura di motori alla Brabham per poi riuscire nell'intento di riportare la Casa milanese in F1 con una vettura interamente costruita dall'Autodelta, la cosiddetta Alfa-Alfa. I quattro personaggi erano l'ingegner Carlo Chiti, il presidente dell'Autodelta Moro e i due presidenti dell'Alfa Romeo, Cortesi e Massacesi; personaggi diversi tra loro, che si ritrovarono improbabili alleati in una sfida che ai più pareva impossibile. È un periodo nella storia della F1 su cui non si è mai fatta luce. Una vicenda affascinante, con continui colpi di scena, ribaltamenti di situazioni, tradimenti, imprese sportive e drammi umani che la grande ricerca, basata principalmente su documenti originali mai consultati in precedenza e su interviste esclusive ai protagonisti, ha permesso all'autore di ricostruire con estrema precisione.

br. Gilles Villeneuve è uno di quei nomi che accendono come pochissimi altri la fantasia degli appassionati. Ma la sua parabola umana e sportiva è nota anche al grande pubblico perché le sue epiche gesta in Formula 1, il suo intenso rapporto con Enzo Ferrari, la sua grande umanità e la sua tragica e spettacolare fine hanno lasciato un segno nella coscienza collettiva. C'è voluta tutta la sensibilità del vecchio Ferrari per capirlo. Quarant'anni dopo la sua morte, Gilles Villeneuve è più vivo che mai. E sarà così tra altri dieci, venti, cent'anni. Perché certi piloti non muoiono mai.
