Dopo gli anni settanta la gestione della linea passò infine alla Società Italiana per le strade ferrate meridionali che la mantenne anche con le Convenzioni del 1885 fino al 1905. Sparse fioriture, complessivamente ben conservata l’opera di Passeri, quella di Rosa mancante dell’occhietto, con frontespizio un poco brunito e con antica menda sul margine delle prime due carte. ********* Prima opera: ISTORIA DELLE PITTURE IN MAJOLICA FATTE IN PESARO E NE’ LUOGHI CIRCONVICINI DESCRITTA DA GIAMBATTISTA PASSERI PESARESE. (SECONDA EDIZIONE, 1857)- Prolifico autore di numerose opere di carattere filologico e archeologico, G.B. Passeri fu uno dei maggiori esponenti dell’etruscheria che travolse la cultura italiana nel Settecento; la prefazione di Giuseppe Ignazio Montanari all’opera qui proposta attribuisce all’autore il merito di esser stato “il primo a interpretare i caratteri, la pittura, le sculture, i vasi, le gemme, le medaglie ed ogni altro monumento etrusco”. L’opera fu stampata la prima volta a Venezia nel 1748, quindi nel XIX secolo a Bologna e Pesaro (1838), questa seconda edizione pesarese è arricchita di brevi scritti sulla maiolica urbinate (di P. Pungileoni) e su Mastro Giorgio da Gubbio (del Marchese Ranghiasci-Brancaleoni), di una appendice di E. Delange apparsa per l’edizione francese, e di lettere su raccolte di ceramiche di G. I.
