Giannini Was The First Son Of Luigi Giannini 1840-1877 And Virginia Née Demartini Giannini 1854-1920. Luigi Giannini Immigrated To The United States To Prospect In Response To The California Gold Rush Of 1849. Giannini Attended Heald College But Realized He Could Do Better In Business Than At School. In 1885 He Dropped Out And Took A Full-Time Position As A Produce Broker For L. Scatena & Co. He Married Clorinda Cuneo 1866-1949 Daughter Of A North Beach San Francisco Real Estate Magnate In 1892 And Eventually Sold His Interest To His Employees And Retired At The Age Of 31 To Administer His Father-In-Law's Estate. Giannini Founded The Bank Of Italy In The Jackson Square Neighborhood Of San Francisco On October 17 1904. The Bank Was Based In A Converted Saloon As An Institution For The "Little Fellow". It Was A New Bank For The Hardworking Immigrants Other Banks Would Not Serve. The 1906 San Francisco Earthquake And Fires Leveled Much Of The City. In The Face Of Widespread Devastation During The Period After The Fire Giannini Was One Of The Few Bankers Who Could Satisfy Withdrawal Requests And Provide Loans Operating From A Plank Across Two Barrels In The Street. Giannini Made Loans On A Handshake To Those Interested In Rebuilding. Branch Banking Was Introduced By Giannini Shortly After 1909 Legislation That Allowed Branch Banking In California. Its First Branch Outside San Francisco Was Established In 1909 In San Jose. By 1916 Giannini Had Expanded And Opened Several Other Branches. Original Letter From Sculptor Julia Bracken Wendt To Her Former Student Pasquale Giovanni "John" Napolitano. 23 Lines Text On Her Light Blue Stationary With Stylized "The Wendt Studios / Laguna Beach" Letterhead Dated November 27 1937. She Writes Enclosing A Check Which She Says She Will Raise Later "When I Get Some Of My Affairs Straightened Out" And Thanks Him For All He Had Done For "Us" And How 'Thoughtful Of You To Bring Things Out Which You Salvaged Out Of The Wreck." She Reports That Her Husband The Painter William Wendt Is "Steadily Recovering" Etc. Julia Bracken Wendt 1870-1942 Was A Notable American Sculptor. She Ran Away From Home At Thirteen. By Sixteen She Was Working As A Domestic Servant For A Woman Who Recognized Her Talent And Drive And Paid To Enroll Her In The Art Institute Of Chicago. There She Studied With Lorado Taft And By 1887 She Had Advanced To Become His Studio And Teaching Assistant. In 1893 During The Columbian Exposition She Was One Of Several Women Sculptors Nicknamed The White Rabbits Who Helped Produce Some Of The Architectural Sculpture That Graced The Exposition Buildings. Aside From That She Was Awarded A Commission To Produce Illinois Welcoming The Nations For The Fair. The Work Was Later Cast In Bronze And Unveiled At The Illinois State Capitol. After Successfully Pursuing Her Career For A Number Of Years In 1906 She Married Painter William Wendt And Moved To Los Angeles California Where She Continued Her Success Including Notable Sculpture At The San Diego Exposition And In Los Angeles. In California She Taught At The Otis Art Institute. Wendt Was A Member Of The National Sculpture Society And Exhibited And Was Featured In Both The 1923 And 1929 Exhibitions And The Resulting Catalogs. <br/> <br/> Unpublished unknown

The Translation Corrects Obvious Clear Mistranslations And Omissions To Such A Degree That It Constitutes A New Corrected Translation. The Translator Of These Corrections William Zaltonoga A Champion Oxford Boxer While A Rhodes Scholar Appears To Understand That Wittgenstein Is Discussing How One Thinks About Objects Of One's Own Private Thoughts. Wittgenstein May Be Seen To Make Highly Pointed Conversational Observations Which Tear The Structure Of Consensual Academic Philosophical Thought With Jab After Jab Demolishing Conventions Not By Creating A Complete Philosophy But By Identifying How One May Think More Exactly On Matters Of Philosophy And Science And Mathematics More Exactly Than Historical Consensus Demands Yet Still In A Consensus-Seeking Manner And By Implication Showing How Basic Concepts In The Mind Of The Reader Are Always Woefully Undeveloped If Not Juvenile. The Text In This Translation Makes Such Pointed Observations That It Questions The Basic Intellectual Background And Abilities Of The Intended Audience- Future Educators Civil Service Managers And Political Policy Makers Educated At Elite Institutions. It Is Understandable How Academics Had Not Previously Bothered With A More Correct Translation As The Book Is Virtually Unteachable Beyond The Text Itself Unless One's Teacher Is Smarter Than Wittgenstein Who Wrote It For The Students. An Important Addition To The Wittgenstein Canon Both For Identifying The Inexplicable Inadequacies Or Intentional Dumbing-Down By His Translators And For The Exactness Of The New Translation Offered Here. Later Entirely Redone By Pears And Mcguiness Perhaps Not As Well Done As Here By Zaltonaga. Upon Returning To The United States In 1920 Sachs Exhibited At The Art Institute Of Chicago And Established The Chicago Industrial Art School Which Soon Failed Due To Lack Of Sufficient Funding. Afterward Sachs Became The First Director Of The Dayton Museum Of Fine Arts Now The Dayton Art Institute. During This Time He Also Served As The U.S. Representative Of Artist George Grosz. Around 1924 Sachs Moved To Los Angeles Where He Designed The Interiors Of The New Gas Company Building.
