br. Mikrokosmos è uno dei capolavori di Béla Bartók: vi lavorò per quasi tredici anni, dal 1926 al 1939. Universalmente considerata come uno strumento fondamentale nella didattica pianistica, l'opera scavalca però immediatamente i confini dell'educazione manuale e diventa molto di più: una scuola per l'orecchio, la voce, il corpo e la mente di ogni allievo. Illuminando una dopo l'altra le facce di questo straordinario prisma, il volume arriva così a delineare il Mikrokosmos come un possibile modello per l'educazione musicale, la propedeutica strumentale, la composizione di base. E anche come una scuola di metodo, come affermazione di un'idea creativa e democratica della didattica e dell'apprendimento, come prezioso riferimento etico e deontologico per il futuro musicista. Ma Mikrokosmos è anche una vera "summa" dell'arte compositiva e pianistica di Bartók: l'ultima parte del volume contiene un'accuratissima guidaall'analisi e allo studio di tutti i 153 pezzi della raccolta che sono poi eseguiti integralmente dallo stesso autore in una registrazione scaricabile gratuitamente su musicheria.net.
