Il quarto concerto di Beethoven. Come invito all'opera del pensiero
br. L'ascolto del Quarto Concerto per pianoforte e orchestra di Beethoven può essere vissuto come un invito musicale ad assistere all'opera del pensiero, così come viene svolta ad esempio all'interno del sistema filosofico schellinghiano. La profonda affinità tra la musica di Beethoven e la filosofia di Schelling si mostra nella loro incessante aspirazione all'assoluto. Pur con diverse modalità, la loro opera consiste essenzialmente nel cercare di ricostruire la storia trascendentale dell'essere, di raccontare musicalmente e filosoficamente l'avventura del divenire o del farsi dell'universo. In questo caso, poi, la loro reciproca speculazione fa sì che la musica illustri e illumini sonoramente il travagliato percorso della filosofia, e la filosofia chiarisca e spieghi i sublimi sviluppi della musica. La musica beethoveniana infatti "si può definire idealistica e la filosofia schellinghiana un idealismo estetico. Ciò significa, in altre parole, che la musica di Beethoven risulta più comprensibile se si pone in relazione con il modello dialettico della filosofia idealista e [...] la filosofia di Schelling risulta meno oscura e notturna se la si considera in parallelo alla forma sonata o alla forma concerto beethoveniana, in particolare al Quarto Concerto". Ben presto, però, l'accettazione di quell'invito ad assistere a quella duplice opera si rivela un'esortazione a mettersi all'opera, a cimentarsi, a disporsi a pensare, a partecipare assieme ad altri studiosi all'attività dei due autori.
