Timbri dei censori estensi alla prima ed ultima carta. Un disegno a matita realizzato tra fine ottocento ed i primi del novecento con ritratto di un uomo. Una piccola mancanza all'angolo basso del volumetto, insignificante e per il resto esemplare ad ampi margini ed in buone condizioni. Le musiche per il melodramma furono composte dal celebre compositore, per breve periodo maestro di cappella a Reggio Emilia e arguto musicologo, Angelo Catelani, nato a Guastalla (RE) e morto a S.Martino di Mugnano (MO). The collection contains a small portrait photograph, two business cards, one is written some Ottoman Turkish notes, a standard sized studio photograph of his youth, gelatin silver small photo of him, a fine studio photograph with his fine clothes and his hat, a photograph showing him among some military stuff and early politicians of Trabzon city (Turkish rugs back), an autograph photograph with his manuscript note '25. yas Trabzon hatirasi, 15,4,1934' [i.e. A souvenir of Trabzon for my 25th age], a studio photo by Weinberg signed by Weinberg, two huge sized portrait photographs, and four photographs showing his funeral in varios sizes. The years of photographs between the 1930-1950s, until his death (his funeral photos). Arif Sayil was an early Turkish deputy of CHP -Republican Party- from Trabzon city and one of the theoretician of Republican Party of Republican Turkey.‎

He Volunteered For War Action Again However And By 1942 Was With The U.S. Air Force In The Pacific Theatre. Robert Todd Duncan 1903 - 1998 Was An American Baritone Opera Singer And Actor.He Obtained His Musical Training At Butler University In Indianapolis With A B.A. In Music Followed By An M.A. From Columbia University Teachers College. In 1933 Duncan Debuted In Pietro Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana At The Mecca Temple In New York With The Aeolian Opera A Black Opera Company. Duncan Was George Gershwin's Personal Choice As The First Performer Of The Role Of Porgy In Porgy And Bess In 1935 And Played The Role More Than 1800 Times. He Led The Cast During The Washington Run Of Porgy And Bess At The National Theatre In 1936 To Protest The Theatre's Policy Of Segregation. Duncan Stated That He "Would Never Play In A Theater Which Barred Him From Purchasing Tickets To Certain Seats Because Of His Race." Eventually Management Would Give Into The Demands And Allow For The First Integrated Performance At National Theatre. Duncan Was Also The First Performer For The Role Of Stephen Kumalo In Kurt Weill's Lost In The Stars. In 1938 Duncan Appeared On The London Stage At The Theatre Royal Drury Lane In C.B.Cochran's Musical Production The Sun Never Sets. The Cast Included Fellow American Adelaide Hall Leslie Banks Edna Best And Stewart Granger. The Musical Was Adapted By Pat Wallace And Guy Bolton From Various Stories Written By Edgar Wallace And The Show Included Original Music By Cole Porter. Costumes Were Designed By Elizabeth Haffenden. One Of The Numbers Duncan Sang Was 'River God'. After The London Run Closed Duncan And Adelaide Hall From The Original Cast Toured Britain With The Production. ‎Summary This volume reflects on Gioachino Rossini (1792-1868) and the international reception of his work 150 years after his death. Rossini was the most influential opera composer of the first half of the 19th century. His exceptional position in contemporary cultural life and the international success of his works meant that monuments were erected during his lifetime and biographies, novels and plays about him appeared. The volume explores his literary reception and the dissemination of his operas in the 19th and 20th centuries in various countries, focusing in particular on stylistic and compositional legacy, the theory and practice of operatic singing, treatises and biographical memoires, and Rossini's position in politics, society and public opinion. Translations and adaptations of Rossini's libretti are analyzed with regard to their functions within in the performances in different cultures and languages. Several chapters address the influence of Rossini and his music on other composers such as Giacomo Meyerbeer, Ottorino Respighi and Ferruccio Busoni. The fame that once surrounded Rossini, however, has been lost in the course of time, and many of his works fell into oblivion.
