br. L'abuso contestuale di alcol e tabacco è molto frequente ed è spesso concausa di diverse patologie, la cui terapia deve tener conto dell'interazione tra i farmaci che devono essere somministrati e l'intossicazione o l'astinenza da alcol e/o tabacco. L'effetto di tali interazioni peggiora spesso il decorso della malattia e incrementa il tasso di mortalità. Nel libro viene messo in risalto in che modo riconoscere il consumo contemporaneo delle due sostanze, come distinguere l'abuso dalla dipendenza e vengono fornite indicazioni per la definizione dei sottogruppi, al fine di individuare la terapia più idonea. Nell'ambito delle categorie diagnostiche, definite dai manuali ICD-11 e DSM-5, viene indicato il modo in cui individuare obiettivi terapeutici realistici e come migliorare la capacità del paziente di modificare il proprio stile di vita. Per i diversi sottogruppi vengono inoltre evidenziati gli strumenti psicoterapeutici e famacologici più adeguati. Fondamentale è anche il lavoro motivazionale, che costituisce quasi sempre il primo passo da compiere nell'ambito di un trattamento efficace. Il volume permette di riconoscere con maggiore precisione i disturbi causati dal consumo di alcol e tabacco e di affrontarli in maniera efficace, ottenendo maggiori risultati con una terapia mirata.

In questo volume si formula la proposta di un modello di riferimento per una maggiore consapevolezza e competenza nella cittadinanza digitale coniugata a un ecosistema didattico che la possa facilitare e convalidare.
