Il trattamento del disturbo post traumatico da stress secondo il modello breve strategico
brossura Calamità naturali, disastri, sciagure e violenze sono parte imprescindibile della condizione umana. Talvolta, il solo ascolto di tali notizie può portare a sentimenti di angoscia e paura. Non c'è quindi da stupirsi se il ritrovarsi testimoni o protagonisti di uno di questi eventi può fissarsi nella mente al punto da non abbandonarla più. In questi casi la persona si sente sempre più tesa, disturbata da immagini, pensieri e flashback relativi l'esperienza traumatica fino a sentirsi letteralmente "intrappolata" nel passato. Siamo di fronte ad una patologia ben precisa e invalidante: il "disturbo post traumatico da stress (DPTS)". Le due forme d'intervento ad oggi più efficaci sono il trattamento psicoterapeutico e il trattamento farmacologico, anche se l'intervento farmacologico va inteso come supporto alle psicoterapie. Riguardo alle psicoterapie, attualmente ha preso sempre maggior piede l'orientamento terapeutico Breve-Strategico, molto apprezzato per l'efficacia e la brevità dei trattamenti. Nel presente lavoro si è voluto dare una adeguata disamina del disturbo post traumatico da stress, sia degli aspetti nosografici, ma altresì della sua prospettiva storica. Successivamente, ci si è soffermati ad analizzare l'orientamento terapeutico Breve-Strategico, motivo di recente ricerca e valutazione empirica, descrivendone il percorso storico, sia in ambito internazionale che italiano, per poi dispiegarsi nell'esposizione dei presupposti epistemologici e logici dell'approccio strategico nel trattamento del disturbo post traumatico da stress. Il lavoro si conclude con una breve illustrazione di alcuni approcci terapeutici a confronto, per poter chiarire le loro principali differenze con il modello Breve-Strategico.

Secondo Feldenkrais, ogni aspetto della vita umana, compresa la sicurezza interiore, dipende dalla postura, dall'equilibrio del corpo, dal radicamento dei piedi a terra. Agendo sulla postura (che è determinata dalla dinamica di tre fattori: spazio, ambiente sociale e forza di gravità), si può giungere a una modalità di azione o reazione non più dettata dall'abitudine, ma dalla situazione del momento. Poiché la maggior parte degli stimoli che raggiungono il sistema nervoso proviene dalle attività muscolari, costantemente influenzate dalla gravità, la postura è una delle chiavi più importanti per modificare i modelli comportamentali inadeguati e giungere alla vera maturità: il pieno possesso delle proprie facoltà fisiche, intellettuali e affettive, unito a un controllo consapevole del proprio agire.
