New York: D. Appleton and Company 1877. Very Good condition. Clean square unmarked copy. Hinges are perfectly sound. A nice copy much better than usually encountered. No owner's name or bookplate. No underlining. No margin notes. Illustrated with 58 drawings in the text. Front and rear covers are decorated with black rectangles and ornaments at each corner. The spine is gilt-lettered still bright and shiny. A guide to the "history facts and principles" of electricity with descriptions of how to perform experiments using "apparatus so simple and inexpensive as to be within everybody's reach." At the end is a 20-page section with "Price-list of Apparatus" and a catalogue listing the "Scientific Works Published by D. Appleton & Co."
