EXTREMELY RARE collection of 53 issues of the Polish-language illustrated weekly newspaper "Tygodnik Illustrowany" from the year 1910. The issues are BOUND IN TWO VOLUMES. Each issue is illustrated with numerous b&w photographs, mostly relating to theater and architecture. The issues also feature numerous b&w reproductions of paintings, mostly of works by Polish artists. 380x295mm. 1082 pages (pagination: 8+536/537-1082+8). Brown cloth Hardcover. Gilt and black illustration and lettering on front cover. Gilt lettering and embossed decoration on spine. Embossed decoration on rear cover. Cover worn and stained. Cover edges bumped. Cover corners bumped and peeling. Spine edges peeling. Spine detached from rear cover. Spine torn at several places and partly missing. Pages browning. [VOL.1]: Spine lettering faded.
