Quarter-leather brown Hardcover with gilt spine. Cover and spine heavily rubbed. Cover damp-stained. Cover corners bumped and tattered/peeling. Cover edges somewhat peeling. Spine front hinge bottom part peeling. Small sticker with advertisement for the book on front endpaper upper corner/edge. Binding visible on inner cover. Ink inscription on front whitepage upper part. Violet pencil inscription on first title-page upper edge. Some plates and several pages detached from binding (but present!). Some pages age-stained. Pages yellowing and wavy. [SUMMARY]: This extremely rare 19th-century fascinating combination of a religio-philosophical study and a comprehensive history of Jerusalem is in good condition.
