‎First edition of one of Kraft's earliest and most important works, being a preliminary study to his seminal ""Forelæsninger over Mekanik"" (1763). It also constitute one of the earliest introductions to Newton in Danish.In 1747, he became a member of the Academy of Sciences, same year as the present thesis was published. Here, he takes a stand in favor of Newton against Descartes, in contrast to his admired teacher C. v. Wolff. Kraft concluded that while the Cartesian system was unreasonable and even inconsistent, Newton's physics perfectly aligned with the most reliable experiences, including the best astronomical observations. Furthermore, the Newtonian system was superior from a methodological standpoint, as it contained fewer hypotheses and was more simple and well-ordered than the Cartesian alternative.‎

Kramer was Niels Bohr's first assistent when Bohr's Institute opened in 1920, later he returned to Utrecht and became sucessor to Ehrenfest. - The frequency of spectral lines did not coincide with a kinetic frequency of electrons, but was only partly explained by Bohr's correspondence principle. Kramers developed here in this work the mathematical formalism required to unite these ideas, leading to an interpretation of the intensities of Stark Components.""In his 1919 dissertation, Kramers calculated in detail the intensities and polarizations of the hydrogen spectral lines, including Zeeman and Stark effects. ‎Fist printing of Kramer's doctoral thesis in which he calculated the relative intensities of the fine-structure components on the Basis of Bohr's Correspondence Principle and obtained results which generally agreed with Paschen's measurements.Bohr had concluded ""that polarizations and intensities should, in the limit of high quantum numbers, be given by the Fourier components of the quantized motion and that even at low quantum numbers the Fourier components in the initial and final states should give an indication of the intensities to be expected. In his doctoral thesis at Leiden in 1919 (published by the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences) - the paper offered - Kramers developed the mathematical formalism required to apply these ideas"" he also carried out detailed calculations for the case of a hydrogen atom in an external electric field. ‎Den sjældne originaludgave af den første danske oversættelse af Kratzensteins ""Systema physicae experimentalis..."". Han blev på foranledning af Leonhard Euler ansat som ""Mechanicus"" ved Akademiet i St. Petersburg i 1748 og blev 5 år senere udnævnt til professor i København. Kratzenstein er mest kendt for sine experimenter over elektricitetens virkninger på forskellige områder, bl. indenfor medicinen (således var han den første, som ved hjælp af gnisten fra en Leydner-flaske, kurerede en paralyseret finger, og således grundlæggeren af elektro-terapien), og han var den første fysiker overhovedet, som søgte at udfinde forholdet mellem den elektriske kraft of dens virkningsafstand, på samme måde som gravitet er en simpel funktion af afstand. - Bibl. ‎First edition of Lagrange's masterpiece, ""which laid the foundation of modern mechanics, and which occupies a place in the history of the subject second only to that of Newton's Principia"". In ""Méchanique Analytique"" Lagrange reformulated classical Newtonian mechanics in a purely analytical manner, whereas Newton derived his results geometrically, or synthetically, with the aid of figures. ""Lagrange proposed to reduce the theory of mechanics and the art of solving problems in that field to general formulas, the mere development of which would yield all the equations necessary for the solution of every problem."" ‎First edition of Lambert's importent work which laid the foundation of the science of Hygrometry and coined the word ""Hygrometer"". The first instrument was build by the instrumentmaker G.F. Brander after Lambert's description. It consisted of a cat-gut string, the expansion and construction of which was transferred to a wheel-work, and shown on a scale divided by 360 gr.. ‎Both papers first edition. In the first paper the design of a new lamp is presented, modelled after Lambert's previous studies on the ""porte-voix"". The second deals with ink and paperdegeneration. Because a lot of Lambert's manuscripts became unreadable through water damage during the time they were stored in Switzerland before being transported to Berlin, Lambert goes into the causes of ink and paper degeneration. Through experimentation he arrives at the kind of ink and paper that withstand humidity best.‎
