J. Argyropolus", (cfr. Bm. Stc. p.51). Edizione molto rara, manca ad Adams, Bm. Stc. e a Cranz "Bibliography of Aristotle". Due macchie di inchiostro per censura sopra il nome di Argyropyli che però non ne impediscono la lettura, altrimenti esemplare assolutamente molto bello, fresco e nitido. * Camerini "Annali Dei Giunti" I 504. Strappo, riparato, alla controguardia anteriore, lungo la parte interna della cerniera. Piccoli segni d'umido ai tagli. Alcuni segni d'umido anche al verso della guardia anteriore, all'occhietto e nel bordo esterno del foglio con le prime due pagine pubblicitarie poste in fine. Note a matita, di mano coeva, nel margine esterno delle pagine 23, 35, 115 e nel magini esterno e superiore di pagina 156. Piccolo strappo, ben rimarginato con carta giapponese, nel bordo interno della prima tavola fuori testo, molto lontano dalla parte impressa. Segno di piegatura nell'angolo superiore esterno del foglio con le pagine 187-188 e nell'angolo inferiore esterno delle pagine dalla 195 alla 198. Thomson observed two patches of light on the photographic plate which suggested two different parabolas of deflection. Thomson concluded that neon is composed of atoms of two different atomic masses neon-20 and neon-22 that is to say of two isotopes. This was the first evidence for isotopes of a stable element; Frederick Soddy had previously proposed the existence of isotopes to explain the decay of certain radioactive elements. Thomson's separation of neon isotopes by their mass was the first example of mass spectrometry which was subsequently improved and developed into a general method by Thomson's student F. W.
