La relatività era una scoperta rivoluzionaria al punto da rimettere in discussione la concezione dell'intero universo e gli scienziati che la sostenevano vennero perseguitati, così come i giornali che ne avevano parlato. L'astronomo inglese A.S. Eddington guidò una pericolosissima spedizione per provare la fondatezza della teoria di Einstein durante una rarissima eclissi solare. Il risultato di questa epica impresa rese la relatività celebre in tutto il mondo.
