LA ROSA, docente di fisica sperimentale. Il suo nome, è legato soprattutto ad una serie di studi teorici dedicati alla confutazione della teoria della relatività. Divenuto professore ordinario nel 1918, divenne preside della facoltà di Scienze nel 1926 e magnifico rettore nel 1932; morì prematuramente l'anno successivo. Nel 1922 fu eletto socio corrispondente dell'Accademia dei Lincei, nel 1924 ottenne con Antonino Lo Surdo il premio reale dei Lincei per la fisica, e nel 1930 fu ammesso all'Accademia nazionale delle scienze detta dei XL. Il suo archivio fu dichiarato di notevole interesse storico il 7 dicembre 2005 dalla Soprintendenza Archivistica per il Lazio. Importante saggio. Come estratto è tuttora ignoto a SBN.
