Blue coloured cloth covered boards with dark red coloured titles to the back strip. Photographic dustwrapper with black and dark red coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Black-and-white photograph of author to the rear fold over panel. The author her husband and their young son became Japanese prisoners / internees during World War II. This is her story. Softening and fading of the back strip edges with rubbing of the top book corners and lower book edges. There is cocking of the spine and there is tanning of the textblock edges and pages. Chipping of the dustwrapper corners and back strip edges. There is a 1.25" tear to the lower right-hand edge of the front spine gutter and there is quite noticeable rubbing along all edges.
