Her published poems had earlier been scattered: student works at Mt. Holyoke College contest prizes anthology inclusion in "Green Mountain Verse". This collection comes directly from her notebook published by her husband Deane C Davis an attorney judge and later 4-yr Governor of Vermont. Her prose writing supported community histories and ongoing organizations Santa Claus Club Girl Scout publicity the Hedding Methodist Church history "One Hundred Years of Methodism in Barre Vermont".
