Originally published in 1875 this printing adds the new rules of Golf as adopted by the Royal and Ancient and also updates the R. & A. medal list. Small 4to. 8.5 x 6.4 inches. Illustrated with six plates and sixteen wood engravings by various artists including Hugh Thomson James Drummond and Birket Foster. Decorative head and tail pieces & initial letters by Clark Stanton and C. A. Doyle. A few pages affected by foxing but mostly a very bright clean copy finely bound in recent full dark green morocco spine with five raised bands compartments decorated with club and players devices and lettered in gilt.
