2 volumi in 8 rilegati in un tomo cm 19 x 25,5, pp. (8) + 384; 374 [i.e. 372] perche' omesse nella numerazione le pagine 134-135 con 15 tavole finali incise all'acquaforte ripiegate. Le prime 6 tavole sono numerate da I a VI, seguono 4 tavole numerate AA, BB, CC, DD e altre 5 tavole numerate da I a V. Altri esemplari segnalano un totale di 16 tavole, manca quindi con tutta probabilita' la VII tavola della prima tranche, perche' le successive 9 in lettere e numeri, descritte singolarmente alla fine del secondo tomo, sono tutte presenti. Annotazioni manoscritte alla prima carta bianca. Frontespizio del primo volume in nero e rosso, due vignette incise all'acquaforte ai frontespizi di entrambi i volumi. Legatura coeva in cartonatura con qualche alone ai piatti e abrasione della carta. Piccola galleria di tarlo al margine interno bianco di alcune tavole. Prima edizione veneziana di questo noto trattato di anatomia uscito in edizione originale a Parigi nel 1732 e poi tradotto in varie lingue. L'A., Jacques Benigne Winslow (1679-1760) e' considerato il padre dell'anatomia descrittiva.

Due volumi in 8vo (13x21 cm) di XXVIII-251pp e 239 pagine, e complessive 34 carte con 60 tavole incise numerate. Segue Dell'Arte rappresentativa capitoli sei di Luigi Riccoboni. Qualche fioritura sparsa. Belle legature coeve in mezza pelle, dorso liscio ornato e con doppio tassello per titolo e tomagione. Qualche usura alla carta marmorizzata dei piatti. - Bell'esemplare completo di tutte le tavole di mimica dell'opera di Engel. Prima edizione italiana, traduzione di Giovanni Rasori, autore anche dell'Introduzione. Engel (1742-1802), “professore di filosofia morale, fu tipico rappresentante di quella corrente dell'illuminismo tedesco, detta “filosofia popolare”, preoccupata di rendere accessibili a un pubblico più vasto i nuovi ideali della cultura illuministica. Risentì soprattutto della lezione di Lessing, avvertibile tanto nei suoi lavori teatrali quanto nella sua opera teorica Ideen zu einer Mimik (1785-86; Idee su di una mimica). Direttore del Teatro Nazionale di Berlino dal 1787 al 1794, promosse una recitazione basata sulla naturalezza” (Sapere).

JOHANNES DE KETHAM
FASCICULO DE MEDICINA. Vulgarizzato per Sebastiano Manilio Romano e stampito (sic) per Zuane & Gregorio di Gregorii in Venexia.
In-4 gr., lussuosa legatura editoriale in piena pelle (abrasioni alle cerniere), dorso a cordoni, astuccio con cuffia in pelle, 54 cc.nn., con il bellissimo frontespizio figurato e 8 grandi tavole anatomiche di cui 1 a colori. Riproduzione in facsimile della seconda edizione (1493) del primo testo di anatomia con figure originali. E' l'anatomia di Mondino de' Luzzi (1270-1326), il primo insigne anatomista degno di questo nome, pubblicata per la prima volta a Venezia nel 1491 dal medico Giovanni de Ketham, alemanno, nel suo cosiddetto "Fascicolo di medicina". Cfr. Castiglioni "Storia della Medicina", pp. 340, 420. Bella edizione su carta a mano, in tiratura di 350 esemplari numerato. Ben conservato.
