Discorsi elementari di anatomia e fisiologia di Giovanni Presciani P. Professore nella R. Università di Pavia ad uso della sua scuola Parte Prima - Seconda.
In 8° (17,2x11,5 cm); due tomi in un volume: (8), 180 pp. e 7 c. di tav. fuori testo più volte ripiegate e 204, (4) pp. e 4 c. di tav. fuori testo. Legatura degli inizi del XX° secolo in piena tela foderata con bella carta coeva a motivi floreali rossi e verdi e fascetta in pelle con titolo in oro al dorso. Esemplare completo di tutte le tavole fuori testo. Bella veste grafica e stampato su carta grossa di ottima qualità. Tagli spruzzati in azzurro. Prima non comune edizione di questo importante testo di fisiologia ed anatomia illustrato da belle tavole più volte ripiegate del noto medico aretino Giovanni Battista Presciani (1754 - 1799). Amico di Giambattista Borsieri conobbe anche Volta e fu a lungo professore a Pavia. I capitoli sono: Dei prinicipi componenti il corpo; Della masticazione; Della Deglutizione; Del Peritoneo; Della Digestione; Della Chilificazione; Del Fegato; Dell'Omento, del pancreas e della milza; Della respirazione; Della Voce; Del Sangue; Della Circolazione; Della Separazione; Della Nutrizione; Dei reni, degli uretri e della vescica orinaria; Parti del sesso virile; Degli effetti della castrazione; Parti della generazione della femmina; Dei mestrui; Delle mammelle; Del concepimento; Dei vari sistemi di generazione; Della diefferente fattura della parti de generazione in varj animali; Differenze principali fra il feto e l'adulto.
