Bulino, 1670 circa, monogrammato in lastra in basso. Da un soggetto di Tiziano. Bellissima prova, impressa su carta vergata coeva, con margini sottili, leggere abrasioni nel margine superiore ma in buono stato di conservazione. La stampa fa parte dell’opera Notomie di Tiziano dedicate all'Ill.mo Sig. Francesco Ghislieri, edita a Bologna tra il 1670 ed il 1680. Il frontespizio contiene il ritratto di Tiziano tra le foglie di alloro, il leone di San Marco e un drappo contenente la dedica. Seguono 17 incisioni anatomiche, 3 dello scheletro e 14 dei muscoli. Quattordici delle tavole sono tratte dal De humani corporis fabrica del Vesalio e le altre dalle Tabulae anatomicae VI, pure del Vesalio. Queste ultime, in realtà, non furono disegnate da Tiziano, bensì da Jan van Calcar; per il primo gruppo, invece, la paternità è dubbia e controversa. Rara. Engraving, 1670 circa, monogrammed in plate below. After Titian. Beautiful impressions, printed on contemporary laid paper, with thin margins, light abrasions in the top, otherwise in good condition. These works are part of Notomie di Tiziano dedicate all'Ill.mo Sig. Francesco Ghislieri, published in Bologna between 1670 and 1680. The title page contains the portrait of Titian between the bay leaves, the lion of St. Mark and a cloth containing the dedication. Here are 17 anatomical engravings: 14 of the plates are taken from De humani corporis fabrica of Vesalius and the other from Tabulae anatomicae VI, also of Vesalius.
