Pre-Raphaelite Painters
London: Phaidon Press 1949. 1st edition folio 49pp 94 plates with a descriptive catalogue by John Gere; still for me the pre-eminent publisher of fine arts material Phaiden Press overcame the technical limitations of colour printing of their day and like the Faber Gallery series produced items of the very highest quality attenuated only by the predominance of b/w photo illustrations with only a minority in colour; erudite and informed; previous owner's name and addres corner ffep o/w VG Copy in dust-tanned and rubbed DJ; NB This is a large heavy book well outside the preset postage tariffs; however for simplicity this item has been priced accordingly and no extra postage will be required unless buyer wants overseas sending. Overseas which includes Europe and the Republic of Ireland both surface and air would involve extra postage and would be expensive proportionate to the price of the book. First Edition. Hard Cover.
