Zt. mit montiertem Titelschild auf dem Vorderdeckel.‎

‎"Die Lekbrücke bei Culemborg... ist im Jahre 1868 in Betrieb genommen worden (und) ist vor allem wegen folgender drei Eigenschaften bemerkenswert: 1. wegen der Verwendung einer neuen Stahlsorte, 2. wegen ihrer lange Zeit unerreicht großen Stützweite, 3. wegen des Gebrauchs der Halbparabelform in beträchtlichen Dimensionen." (Pottgießer). - Die aus Bessemer Flußstahl errichtete Brücke im Deltagebiet des Rheins liegt auf der Eisenbahnstrecke von Utrecht nach s'Hertogenbosch u. Boxtel. Der niederländische Ingenieur Gerrit van Diesen (1826-1916) hat sie im Rahmen seiner Verantwortung für die gesamte Strecke konstruiert. Seine Arbeit wurde auf der Wiener Weltausstellung 1873 mit der Goldenen Medaille belohnt. Zwischen 1863 u. 1868 wurde sie von der bekannten Brückenbauanstalt von Johann Caspar Harkort errichtet. Bei einer Gesamtlänge von 670 m besteht die Brücke aus sieben Öffnungen von je 57 m lichter Weite im Überschwemmungsgebiet, einer Öffnung von 80 m lichter Weite sowie der großen Hauptöffnung von 154,40 m, "die lange Zeit die weitestgespannte Balkenbrücke" der Welt gewesen ist (Lueger). - Die Tafeln zeigen für alle drei Öffnungen Gesamtan- u. Gesamtaufsicht (Maßstab 1:100 u. 1:200), Seitenaufrisse der Gesamtkonstruktion in kleinerem Maßstab (1:20, 1:30 u. 1:50), Querschnitte (1:20 u. 1:50), Details der Aufsichten (1:25, 1:30 u. 1:40), Ansichten der einzelnen Längs- u. Querträger (1:10, 1:15 u. 1:20) sowie weitere Details.
