Lamarck ist der Begründer der modernen Zoologie der wirbellosen Tiere, er verwendete und definierte zeitgleich mit Gottfried Reinhold Treviranus erstmals in seiner 1802 erschienenen Schrift Hydrogéologie den von Michael Christoph Hanow 1766 eingeführten Begriff "Biologie" und legte als erster eine ausformulierte Evolutionstheorie vor. … (wiki) // In der biologischen Evolutionstheorie spielen lamarckistische Ansichten eine größere Rolle als noch vor 20 oder 30 Jahren. Solche Ansichten zu unterhalten, gilt heute in Wissenschaftlerkreisen vielerorts keineswegs als Makel. Unsere pluralistisch orientierte Gegenwart hat längst jene Zeit hinter sich gelassen, in der man nur guter Darwinist sein konnte oder aber so gut wie außerhalb der scientific Community stand. Ob dies in diesem Fall für oder gegen den Pluralismus in der Wissenschaft spricht, sei dahingestellt. Diese Arbeit widmet sich jedenfalls der Kritik des Lamarckismus. Es ist aber in Rechnung zu stellen, daß der Lamarckismus seinerseits oft eine Reaktion auf immer noch ungelöste Probleme der darwinistischen Theorie darstellt, und weiter, daß eine ganze Anzahl neuerer molekularbiologischer Befunde eine lamarckistische Interpretation der biologischen Evolution vergleichsweise naheliegend erscheinen lassen. Auf beides wird hier eingegangen. Unterschiedliche Stellungen des Lamarckismus. Als "lamarckistisch" werden jene Ansichten bezeichnet, die die Ursachen der Evolution auf die "Vererbung erworbener Eigenschaften" zurückführen. Dieser These wird zunächst durch eine sehr alltägliche Beobachtung Vorschub geleistet: Organismen leben nicht nur in bestimmten Umwelten, für die sie gut adaptiert sind, sondern reagieren im Verlauf ihrer Individualentwicklung (der Ontogenese) auch phänotypisch flexibel auf die jeweiligen Besonderheiten ihrer Umwelt, "erwerben" also auf diese Weise bestimmte individuelle Adaptationen. Diese Fähigkeit geht auf eine im Verlauf der Evolutionsgeschichte zusätzlich selektierte und daher erbliche Flexibilität in der Reaktionsweise des Genoms zurück; jeder Organismus besitzt folglich eine bestimmte genetische Reaktionsnorm. ...
