SASSOON] [Siegfried
Memoirs of a Fox-Hunting Man. IN FULL MOROCCO
8vo., First Edition, on laid paper; handsomely bound in navy full crushed morocco, sides with gilt frame border, back with raised bands ruled in gilt, second and fourth compartments lettered in gilt, all other compartments tooled in gilt, gilt top, hand-made endpapers, a most attractive copy ideal as a gift or for presentation. Sassoon's first published work in prose and a classic of the genre. The author's name was not printed until the second issue of the second impression. This is the so-called 'second issue' with 'A' on blank leaf preceding half-title, though Keynes states that these 'typographical irregularities have no significance whatever, since they were both printed and published at the same time'. Keynes A30a.
